I LOVE this season!

I just love autumn! Have I said that before? I'm sure if you're around me enough during SEP thru NOV, you'll hear me say it a 100 times! Well, maybe not that many times!
I was pretty busy over the weekend!
On Saturday, I attended the annual Court Isabella CDA Harvest Tea in Garner. It was my first time! The food was great, the entertainment interesting, and very fallish.
Later that afternoon I was Terri's "date" at the wedding of Lindsay and Craig B. in Lake Mills. The reception was held in Kennsett. The theme was... you guessed it...autumn! The bride's colors were black, orange, and silver. Not bright orange, but rusty orange. The bride's maids wore rusty orange formals and the groom's men wore black suits. Instead of rose petals in the church aisle, there were silk autumn leaves. The reception carried out the harvest-time theme with pumpkins, leaves, and small bales of straw surrounded by 3 glow-stick-lit candle votive holders on the tables. It was very pretty! The wedding favor was a mesh sack of candy corn tied with a brown ribbon and a 'thank you' tag. The hor'dourves were meatballs, a meat and cheese tray, crackers, mints, and nuts. The meal consisted of beef or pork slices on a bun, baked beans, and macaroni salad. There were punch, coffee, beer, wine, and champagne to drink. It was all very nice.
Waldorf College is on Mid-term break until tomorrow. The library was closed Saturday thru Monday.
I'm looking forward to Halloween [just 12 days away!] Scream! Howl! Bite! BOOOOOOO!
But first, Steve will be here on the weekend. He'll pick up Lynne at ISU and bring her home. We are going up to Northfield on Saturday to meet Geoff's friend, Becky, for the first time.
Well, until next time!
Love ya!
Theresa
