Keeping up with Theresa....

Well, I've been very lazy in keeping this blog up-to-date! I'll try to bring you up to speed with my wonderful life!

THANKSGIVING: Steve was up from Kansas. Good food, good time with family!

CHRISTMAS: Lived through one heck of a blizzard. Lynne & I were in Milford at my dad's place. They got 20 inches of snow. We were snowed in! I had motel rooms for 2 nights and only got to stay 1 - couldn't make it to the motel. Steve up from KS, Marie & Jeff over from CO, Geoff & Dana made it over. My brother, Tim, and brother-in-law Bob were stranded in OK for several days. Finally they made it up on the 26th but I never got to see them. After Christmas I went to Kansas for a few days with Steve. I visited the Museum of World Treasures and a Barnes & Noble book store in Wichita. (One of the few left opened) We returned to IA on JAN 1st. Strangely, very little snow in KS!

NEW YEAR'S DAY: Welcomed in the New Year in Kansas. Steve and I went out eat at a steak place on New Year's Eve. We stayed in Le Mars with relatives.

SINCE THEN: We've seemed to have bad weather/snow/blizzards every 2 weeks! I've missed 7 days of school due to bad weather. In fact, today is one of them. I'm going crazy trying to remember which school I owe make-up days to!

Geoff leaves for a semester of study in Australia next week. Lucky Boy! Steve is coming up this weekend to help see him off and will pick up Lynne in Ames on the way. Marie may come over too. We're going to miss him, but, then, we don't see him much now! I'm sure Dana will miss him the most!

With all this time off I've been reading! [Imagine that] Latest books read: Dear Max by D.J. Lucas, Aunt Dimity and the Deep Blue Sea by Nancy Atherton, and Land of Promise by Joan Lowery Nixon. Currently reading: People of the Book by Geraldine Brooks.
